David Littlechild
Chairman and Founder
David founded Shearline in 1972, following a successful apprenticeship with Dan Morley Engineering and some time at the Cambridge University Engineering Laboratories researching the dynamics of machinery.
He has overseen the company ever since, masterminding the company’s expansion and spearheading the move to the current Ely premises in May 1993.
Charles MaltbyTechnical and Commercial Director
Charles oversees all of the Engineering and New Product group and is leading the expansion of Shearline’s Design for Manufacturing team.
With an MSc in Engineering Management and years of experience in product development and manufacture, Charles brings a wealth of skills to the role of Technical and Commercial Director.
Prior to joining Shearline in September 2008, Charles held executive positions at Screen Technology Ltd, ANT Software, and Domino Printing Sciences, amongst others in the aerospace, automotive, medical and white goods sectors.
David KemberOperations Manager
David has over twenty years experience at Shearline, and is one of our most knowledgeable staff. In 2000 he achieved a Diploma in Management, gaining both theoretical and practical skills.
Having started out as an apprentice at Marshalls of Cambridge, David was promoted to Operations Manager at Shearline in December 2003.
