Specialist HLT division offers same day cutting of special materials
The rapid response capabilities of Hybrid Laser Tech, a division of Shearline, have been boosted by a major investment in the latest laser positioning technology. The Cambridgeshire company anticipates that new tooling will halve set-up times and increase throughput by 12 percent.
HLT manufactures and supplies precision laser cut ceramic substrates to a range of industries including microelectronics and medical devices.
Kevin Thompson, Sales and Technical Manager for the Hybrid Laser Tech Division, is excited by the prospects offered by the new technology.

HLT has procured two industry-leading Aerotech ALS1000 stage and control systems which are calibrated in two dimensions, providing two micron accuracy. The investment will speed up cutting times by reducing the set-up and provide further guarantees of precision.
