First Article Inspection

This First Article Inspection document set must be used by any supplier producing machined or processed parts that are;

Guidance for the use can be found within SAE AS9102 Rev B. For any queries arising the supplier is to contact
Shearline Quality Assurance for clarification.

Special additional requirements to our Terms and Conditions:

1. Should the supplier produce parts or process parts for Shearline that are non-conforming the supplier must notify Shearline QA immediately.
2. The supplier shall obtain prior approval from Shearline QA for the disposition of non-conforming product.
3. The supplier shall notify Shearline QA of any changes in product and/or process, change of sub supplier, change of manufacturing facility, and, where required, obtain Shearline QA approval.
4. The supplier will flow down to their supplier these requirements including any key characteristics of product.
5. Record retention. Any of the records that are listed below that relate to work undertaken for and on behalf of Shearline shall be retained for the period stipulated.

6. The supplier shall afford the right of access to Shearline and its customers (including regulatory bodies) to the applicable areas of the facility and to applicable records.
